A2E Receives MBE Certification

We’re thrilled to say that in the same month, we celebrated 5 years in business and received our MBE (Minority-owned Business Enterprise) Certification. Alone, these are both exciting business milestones. But together, they mean something even more extraordinary to us. We are proud to have had five successful years of business, and now that we are MBE certified, we can’t wait to see what the next five years bring.

Certifications such as these give businesses an edge by providing various benefits for both owners and clients. We want to thank the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) for being a driving force behind this mission. One which helps to expand the minority business community and enables the MBE certification as a way to propel businesses into greater partnerships and programs. As our NMSDC orientation presenter, Vickie Hsi put it, “Don’t overlook the power of the MBE ecosystem.” Let’s dive in.

What does this mean to us?

MBE Certification is a program designed for businesses that are 51% owned and operated by US citizens considered an “ethnic minority.” But it’s not just a way to acknowledge diversity in the business world. It’s a program with numerous benefits—access to more opportunities, richer networking communities, higher state government budgets, enhanced credibility, and more.

This certification will help to strengthen our relationships and expand our network so we can better service our clients. We look forward to the many new doors that will open now that we’re a part of the MBE community—attending networking events, trade shows, and conferences designed for minority-owned businesses. Here, we’ll build valuable connections, learn from other industry experts, and collaborate with prospective partners.

“At A2E, we believe that our clients come first. So a milestone such as this just gets us thinking: how will it propel us into further elevating our solutions for all of our community partners?” - Mark Khan

What will it mean for our clients moving forward?

Access to more opportunities:

Many government agencies, corporations, and organizations have supplier diversity programs that seek out minority and women-owned businesses. Becoming MBE certified can open doors to opportunities that may not have been accessible to us otherwise. This, in turn, creates more prospective partners that can help us do what we do best for our clients and their customers.

Richer networking communities:

As an MBE-certified organization, we’ll be invited to premium business outings and networking events within the MBE community. This will not only enhance our access to information in the industry but also to essential resources. The more connections we make, the more opportunities we have to service our clients to the highest standards possible. It also means knowing the right people who can connect us with the best possible rates, wherever applicable.

Higher state government budgets:

The federal government offers state and federal tax incentives, breaks, and rebates to companies that partner with MBE-certified businesses. As an MBE ourselves, we become eligible for tax liability reduction for projects funded by state and federal loans. This, again, means more room for partnerships that were not accessible before, along with a more open financial playing field when it comes to budgeting for our clients.

We're proud to have earned this certification and to demonstrate our commitment to diversity. If you'd like to work with us on your next initiative, meeting, or event, please contact us to discuss! team@a2ecomms.com
