A2E Celebrates 5 Years of Excellence

A2E is celebrating a major milestone this week, as the company marks 5 years in business—together! When we look around at the community of experts and partners we’ve built over the last half-decade, it’s incredible to know that it all began as the vision of one person, our fearless leader, Mark Khan.

Since launching in 2018, building A2E has been a long road. As a team, with Mark at the helm, we’ve faced the challenges of starting any new business—along with navigating an events company through an extremely eventful few years.

It’s been a long road, yes, but an exciting one too. The past five years have been filled with remarkable partners, wonderful teammates, and unwavering devotion to what we believe in—delivering successful solutions with an unmatched passion.

To commemorate our fifth anniversary and many more years of success, we sat down with founder, Mark Khan, to get his thoughts on being an entrepreneur and learn a little bit more about how it all started and how it’s going.

As A2E celebrates five years in business, what are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of our team. I’m proud of how well we work together and how much we care for and support one another in so many ways. It’s really amazing to think about how much we’ve grown in such a short amount of time and how much further we can still go together.

I’m proud of our people—how we move and operate as A2E and as a unit. I want people to know that we are true partners in every sense of the word. And while we work together professionally, to execute business on behalf of our client's needs, we also believe in growing as a team—growing through respect, change, and curiosity.

How would you describe what we do to someone that’s never heard of A2E?

On paper, we’re a marketing consulting agency focused on solutions that address clients’ unmet needs. We coordinate and execute a variety of meetings and events while staying true to our, and our client’s core objectives.

Our goal(s) usually center around driving engagement before an event, during our time on site, and with scheduled touchpoints thereafter, continuing the engagement loop beyond a single meeting. While we have templates to pull from, there’s never a silver bullet solution. Everything must be customized and crafted to meet our client’s overarching goals and strategic imperatives. We are a true extension of our clients—entirely “client-centric” and focused on how we can always help our partners succeed in what they do.

How and why did you start A2E?

I started A2E to do something different; to care more about how we move, what we do, and how we come together as a team. We don't entirely focus on spreadsheets or P&Ls; but on people.

A2E was built to be a company that gives all its energy to the brands and businesses that we are entrusted with. To me, there’s nothing more exciting than seeing what we can accomplish together—internally as a team and externally with our client partners.

You refer to clients as partners – why?

Because ultimately, we are partners and allies working together toward a common goal. Our clients hold us accountable to deliver results, so we also must hold them accountable and always manage expectations openly and honestly. While we are 100% committed to finding solutions to our client's needs, there are some things we don't have within our control. In these cases, we have great partners we can call upon to work toward an even better solution—together. Why do you think A2E has been successful?

I know that we’ve worked incredibly hard, tirelessly fighting for our wins and milestones. But I also believe that we’ve been very lucky, too. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Over the last five years, however, I’ve noticed that our greatest successes come from acting as an extension of our clients—helping them to achieve their goals, objectives, and unmet needs as if they were our own.

The guiding principle remains in who we are as an organization. While we may not always succeed or win in absolutely all that we do, I can guarantee that no other agency will care more about its partners. Our clients’ organizational success is our success. Their individual success is our success, as well. And if we can help them achieve and win, we’ve also won.

What gets you excited about the future of A2E?

With our team and incredible network of partners, we have the ability to succeed in absolutely anything we aim for. We really are made up of many amazing and talented individuals, from various backgrounds and industries, whom I’m honored to call my colleagues, partners, and friends.

I’m excited about the future of A2E and can’t wait to watch our network and community of people continue to grow.
